Abdulazeez Yari’s call for power shift to South, commendable, says Tinubu global network
A global Bola Ahmed Tinubu support group, the Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ), has commended former Zamfara State governor, Abdullazeez Yari, for insisting that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), shifts the presidency to the south.
Yari reportedly told journalists that the understanding within the APC is that in 2023, the presidency will shift to the south.
Reacting to the comment of the one time Nigeria Governors Forum chairman, the DOJ, in a statement issued by its National Coordinator, Comrade Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje , aligned itself with the comment of the former Zamfara governor.
Comrade Adegoke stressed that Yari’s comment reflects the thinking of Nigerians, especially patriotic members and supporters of the APC, adding that anything contrary to that may spell doom for the country.
Part of the statement issued by the DOJ in Lagos, on Sunday, reads:
“The leadership of Disciples of Jagaban worldwide salutes the courage of the former chairman Nigerian Governors Forum for his strong believe in a strong United APC, which can only be achieved if all the interest of all sections of the country is protected.
“It’s a good thing that Yari is assuring Nigerians that he may not know of other political parties but as for APC, the presidency must shift to the southern part of the country.”
To this end, the National servant leader of the movement, Comrade Alawuje however noted that, it is not yet time to celebrate, instead supporters of the National Leader of the APC, should see the development as the right time to start preparing towards the next level of the struggle.
He disclosed that the DOJ is not only working on social media but also engage in several activities underground until success is achieved.
“We still need brilliant Nigerians to come out and display whatever skills given to them as individuals, so that before the real work starts, we want all the oppositions to accept defeat at least by next year,” Alawuje stated.
