The crisis between the Ataoja of Osogbo land His Royal Majesty Jimoh Olanipekun Laaroye and the senator representing Osun central senatorial district in the National assembly Senator Dr Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru got deepen today during the wedding Nikkah of that popular Islamic preacher named Ustazh Ridwan Opeyemi a.k.a Ustaz Aynuridoh when the monarch snubbed the senator who arrived at the venue of the program almost fifteen minutes after the arrival of the Ataoja of Osogbo land.
The Ataoja of Osogbo left the venue immediately the MC announced the arrival of the senator.
It would be recalled that crisis brewed between the father and son over July 16rh governorship election in the state where the Ataoja of Osogbo land publicly identified with the then PDP governorship candidate, senator Ademola Adeleke. The decision which did not go down well with senator Ajibola Basiru who is an APC member and also flag bearer for the Osun central senatorial district in the next year general elections.
Senator Ajibola Basiru was alleged to have hatched the removal of Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Laaroye in connivance with the former governor Oyetola and the planned which would have been carried out had it been the former governor was returned as governor for the second term.
Although senator Ajibola Basiru denied planning anything of such against the Ataoja of Osogbo but, his explanations fell on the deaf ears of the monarch and his loyalists.
