I Hon Kamorudeen Adabanija hereby write to offer my sincerest apology for the statements I made on 28th day of September, 2024, regarding “Tinubu gave Ministers rice to go and distribute it but Oyetola used his own to do his 70th birthday.”
Upon further re-reading and consideration,
- I realize that my words were inaccurate because I later discovered that the rice is yet to be given to the Ministers.
- As at the time I made the post, His Excellency Adegboyega Oyetola, the Honourable Minister for Marine and Blue Economy was not in the country and I learnt that his friends and political associates organized the birthday prayer and that all the gifts distributed on that day were donated by them and the gesture was on humanitarian ground.
- I have equally learnt that my Arrest and Predicament were not initiated by the Hon. Minister Adegboyega Oyetola as he knows nothing about it.
I hereby retract my previous false and seditious statement in its entirety.
I understand that my actions may have caused harm, damage or inconveniences to the Hon. Minister, Political Associates and his immediate family and for that, I am deeply sorry.
I also state that this statement of mine was made without coercion or any form of duress or threat to my personality.
I hereby tender my unreserved apology to HE Adegboyega Oyetola, his extended and immediate family, his friends and political associates that I might have emotionally hurt and slighted by my misleading and unverified reports and messages.
