Breaking News; Osun government confirms first case of Monkeypox.
-Another Suspected Case In Osogbo
The first case of Monkeypox has been discovered in the State of Osun.
It was gathered that the case was discovered in Iperindo, Atakumosa East Local Government of the State, last week.
The State Commissioner, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu confirmed the outbreak of the disease,
According to him, the patient carrying the disease had fully healed before the result of the test conducted on him was out and was said to be positive.
This is just as another suspected case of the monkeypox was recorded in Osogbo, capital of the State capital.
Our reporter noted that a 14-year old boy with a symptom of the disease was brought to the General Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo, around 12pm today, Monday.
The boy’s body was full of rashes and shores as noticed by the medium.
He was admitted to the first office by the left at the Trauma session of the hospital where medical experts attended to him.
The medical experts were kitted in disease preventive personal protective equipment when attending to the patient.
Personnel from Disease Surveillance Notification Unit were part of the team
