Breaking News: Sowore Warns Nigerians: Don’t Fall for Tinubu’s Broadcast Trick, Continue Protest Plans

Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has urged Nigerians to remain resolute in their protest plans despite President Bola Tinubu’s scheduled national broadcast on Sunday. Sowore described the broadcast as a “trick” aimed at discouraging the ongoing nationwide hunger protest, which has entered its third day.

In a statement on social media, Sowore encouraged protesters to continue mobilizing for the planned invasion of Eagles Square on Monday, August 5th. He advised those traveling to Abuja to arrive on Sunday, in case roads are closed, and also called on residents of satellite towns around Abuja to join the protest.

Sowore’s statement comes after the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, announced that President Tinubu will address the nation on Sunday. However, Sowore remains undeterred, urging Nigerians to keep pushing for change with the hashtags
