The federal executive council (FEC) has approved N1.4 trillion for some road projects across the country.
The selected roads include:
- N525bn for the construction of Benin-Akure-Ilesha Road (150 km by two- 300 km) awarded to HiTech Construction to use concrete pavements for the construction.
- N286bn for the construction of 66km Benin-Akure, by Ilesha, section 2, awarded to HiTech Construction.
- N26.46bn for the construction of Angingali-Udobi-Udona-Umo-Uwana-Ubalaka in Imo state.
- The project is an NNPC project being reviewed from N14 billion to N26.46 billion.
- N21bn for the rehabilitation of Aba-Owerri Road, the NNPC depot expressway in Abia state. Project was awarded to Rudo Nigeria Limited.
*** – Rehabilitation of the Abeokuta-Iboro-Ilaro Road in Ogun State, valued at N57 billion
- Mubi to Maiduguri Road Section Three, worth N89 billion
- Mubi to Maiduguri Section Two, valued at N67 billion.
Tinubu also approved projects in Cross Rivers State (N79 billion), Enugu-Port Harcourt (N83 billion), Igomu bridge (N19.87 billion), Umuahia to Aba (N90 billion), and the Ore-Ondo-Akure Road (N134 billion).
Additionally, the Ofin-Oreta Road in Ikorodu, Lagos State, was approved at N27.9 billion.
