Chief Bisi Akande @ 81…A living legend an encyclopedia of Nigeria Politics — AGF
The Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation is felicitating with the former interim National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Abdulkareem Adebisi Akande as he celebrates his 81st birthday.
The National Coordinator of the Group, Adunni Olateju Ishola, in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, described Chief Akande as the encyclopedia of Nigerias Political history .
He said the former governor of Osun State cannot be compared to any politicians in the 21st century, He added that Chief Akande served his people diligently during his tenure in various political offices, as governor and as national chairman of different political parties (APC) Interim national chairman.
He urged Nigerian politicians to emulate the selflessness and ideologies of the APC chieftain this he postulated will help progress, development and socioeconomic growth of the country.
According to him, “Baba is a great politician who have contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria politics, we can call him an icon of progressive governance in Nigeria. Chief Akande, s performance during his tenure as a governor remains a high precedence in the Nigerian politics and this also extends to the whole of West Africa.
While eulogising the former Osun State Governor he said, Baba is “God fearing and integrity make him standout amongst politician in Nigeria.
The National Cordinator prayed that “God spares the icons life to see more years to come in sound health. He also prayed that Baba Akande is fit to continue contributing to the development of our dear country.
