The people of Ilesha West local government area and the Local Council Development Authority in the state of Osun are full of joy today Saturday 31st of August 2019 when the immediate past commissioner for science, innovation and technology in the state of Osun and who is currently supervisor in the ministry of works distributed items to nothing less than hundred aged people both men and women under the program tagged “Elderly support scheme”
Some youths from the local government area who also learnt trade but does not have means to purchase their instruments also got empowered by the politician who paid for rent of their shops and also provide for their needs in the shop so as for them to be able to stand on their own without relying on anyone again. Teach them how to catch fish instead of giving them fish always.
Omowaiye Oluremi while addressing his people charged them to keep supporting and praying for the present administration in the state under the able leadership of governor Gboyega Oyetola so as to continue to enjoying dividends of democracy in the state.
He said further “We have been doing this for the past three years, its not about election, we must appreciate them for their support always and that is what we are trying to do and we will continue render assistance to the elderly people and our Youths
Items like Ankara fabrics, Rice and beans and token amount of money were given to all hundred selected people from each wards in the local government
The program was massively attended by party faithfuls from all wards in Ilesha West local government and LCDA.
Party leaders and women leaders were not left out at the program including the parliamentarians.
