An Osogbo man Mr Sikiru Olaboye who confessed recently on a radio program anchored by Mr Akinkunmi Alabi how he led the squads that attacked Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on OROKI DAY 2006 finally met eyes ball to eyes ball with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to ask for his forgiveness over the 2006 attacks that claimed many lives.
At the meeting early today at Oranmiyan house Osogbo, ๐๐ซ Akinkunmi Alabi narrated how the man called in during one of his radio programs and confessed and begged for forgiveness from Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and most especially how the man put pressures on him to facilitate the meeting between him and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to enable him ask for the forgiveness of Ogbeni whom he believed is the reason why he is in current state of calamity.
Meeting Ogbeni today face to face, Mr Sikiru Olaboye who was crying profusely begged Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola after narrated how he and his other colleagues carried out the attacks on Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and his supporters in 2006 and asked for the forgiveness of Ogbeni.
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola before responding, asked Hon Abdulhakeem Olaoye a. k. ๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ฎ to speak briefly on the matter before he respond .
Otaoroju charged everybody to learn lessons from the predicament of this man and always remember that whatever we do today tomorrow shall always tell. He spoke further that Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is a God fearing man who cannot hurt a fly let alone human beings but, according to Otaoroju not everybody could be waged war against without facing the consequences of such action, especially someone like Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who is a special human being.
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola while responding said he couldn’t even recognize the faces of any of those attackers let alone having it in mind to retaliate the attacks but he believes Allah is the most forgiven whom every human beings should be begging for forgiveness. Ogbeni pitied the condition of Mr Sikiru Olaboye begged God to forgive him and the rest of us because we all all siners.
Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola thanked ๐๐ซ Akinkunmi Alabi who facilitated the meeting and asked everyone to learn from the predicament of the man.
Those at the meeting includes Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, senator Adelere Oriolowo, Elder Dr Adelowo Adebiyi, Barrister Gbenga Akano, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, Engineer Salami among others.
