The people of Faridah Adeleke market in Olorunsogo,Egbedore South LCDA in Osun state today 10th of January 2024 held their yearly interdenominational prayer program in the market premises to Herald the new year 2024.
The prayer program which was attended by the Royal father of the community His Royal Highness the Olu of Olorunsogo Alhaji Dauda Adesola Adenle Ariyo, the Agboluaje 1st, who was accompanied by the Baale of Halleluyah, High Chief Jelili Olaiya who is also head of the community under Olorunsogo,the Balogun of Olorunsogo,Alhaji Chief AbdulSalam. Also in attendance are the Iyaloja of Olorunsogo chief Mrs Fatima Omowumi,the Otun Iyaloja Chief Mrs Esther Akande,the Babaloja of Olorunsogo Chief Benjamin Akanmu who was ably represented by his deputy, the Otun Babaloja of Olorunsogo Chief Abideen Ajibola Onifade and other community leaders.
The prayers were offered both in Christian and Islamic ways.
Pastor Oke led the Christian prayer while Imam Waliyulah led Islamic prayers.
They both preached peace and unity among the marketers in the market and prayed for blessings upon blessings for all the people operating their businesses in the market.
The Olu of Olorunsogo in his remark charged the people of the market to love one and others for them to attain progress both individually and collectively. Speaking in the same vein,the Baale of Halleluyah High Chief Jelili Olaiya admonished the marketers to allow love to reign supreme among them to be able to achieve progress for the community.
The whole program was anchored by the Otun Iyaloja of Olorunsogo, Chief Mrs Esther Akande while the vote of thank after the program was brought to an end was said by Honorable Adabanija Kamorudeen oladepo,the traditional Chief in the embrayo.
