GENIUS: 14-year-old Nigerian Muslim wins 7 international medals in Mathematics
Fatima Adamu Maikusa, 14-year-old young Muslimah, from Gombe State, northeastern Nigeria, has started a career in mathematics by making global records. The girl who first appeared at the spotlight at the age of 9, when she won American Mathematics Competition (AMC 08), has continued showing up and winning different awards afterwards.
As a Grade 11 student NTIC Kano Girls College, she has won 7 medals in mathematics so far. Her medals include but is not limited to International Eduversal Mathematics Competition (Jakarta, Indonesia), International Math Challenge (Bangkok, Thailand), Kangourou Sans Frontier – KSF Mathematics Competition and Mathematics Without borders in Bulgaria.
