Osun State Governor, H.E Governor Ademola Adeleke, reaffirms his resolute commitment to the well-being of indigent vulnerable women in the state. In a collaborative effort with the World Bank through the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Affairs, the Governor continues his transformative initiatives, empowering another hundred indigent vulnerable women from Atakumosa East.
This follows the successful empowerment of thousands in Ifedayo and Olaoluwa Local Governments, marking a significant step towards fulfilling Governor Adeleke’s campaign promise to enhance the benefits for women in his administration.
The empowerment initiative, which began in Ifedayo Local Government, provided many women with resources serving as a source of income. Progressing to Olaoluwa Local Government, hundreds more were empowered, and on the 22nd of November, 2023, the focus shifted to Atakumosa East. Here, another hundred indigent vulnerable women were equipped with tools for sustainable income generation, highlighting Governor Ademola Adeleke’s dedication to uplifting women across the state.
Honourable Commissioner for Women, Children, and Social Affairs, Hon. (Mrs) Ayobola Fadeyi Awolowo , emphasized the state government’s unwavering commitment to advancing the welfare of women and children. Speaking at the event, she underscored the ongoing collaboration with the World Bank, affirming the commitment to creating an enabling environment for vulnerable women to thrive. The empowerment event in Atakumosa East stands as a testament to the state’s proactive measures in addressing the needs of its most vulnerable citizens.
