Hope Rises For Osogbo Steel Rolling Company, Machine Tools.
Following a petition on abandonment of Osogbo Steel Rolling Company And the Nigeria Machine Tools Limited, written by Osogbo Parapo, an Osogbo Sociocultural group, and placed before the Senate by Senator Ajibola Basiru, the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges And Public Petition has directed the Bureau of Public Enterprise to cause appearance with all necessary information about the purported sale of the two companies.
The Ethics, Privileges And Public Petition Committee would look into the terms of sale of the two companies with a view to reviving them, so they could bounce back to reckoning as the leading machine and steel producing companies in Nigeria.
The Committee will also embark on the spot assessment of the two companies to ascertain their level of neglect with a view to resuscitation them soon.
