Ilesha East (LGEA) Holds Teacher’s Day Party For Teachers In The Local Government
The Local Government Education Authority, Ilesa East Chapter, yesterday 6th of October, 2020, celebrated the Teachers across the local Government , by throwing a very big reception in honour of the teachers as the celebrate teachers day. Surprisingly, this is first of its kind in the state.
The event took place yesterday at St Peters government Primary School, Ilesa. Hon. Idowu Falade, the LGEA Chairman, Ilesa East; in his welcome address, thanked the Teachers while reiterating that the purpose of the gathering is to: “appreciate you our Teachers, our mentor and nation builders, there is no doubt that our Parents gave us life, but it was you our teachers that thought us how to live it, you introduced honesty,integrity and passion to our character”.
“You served us wholeheartedly and the same way you are serving and still servicing our generations. we throw this little reception, which is first of its kind in the state. We are the first Local Government to celebrate you and you shall continue to be celebrate”.
The (LGEA) Chairman further solicitated the teachers support for Governor Gboyega oyetola and his administration. He said Mr Governor is paying the state workers salaries as at when due and just yesterday, Mr Governor released #708 million for the Pensioners in the state. He finally thanked the teachers and prayed for them.
The State NUT Chairman, Treasurer and leaders, AOPSHON chairman, ANCOPPSS representatives, and other stakeholders in their different speeches, appreciated the Ilesa East LGEA under the leadership of Hon. Falade, the House of Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon Timothy owoeye, Hon. Segun Olanibi, the Executive Chairman of (SUBEB) represent by his PA, Hon. Anthony Jegede, the LGEA Bord Members, Hon wale Adedoyin and all political leaders within APC for celebrating them in a grand style, and which is first of its kind in the state.
They also appreciated the (SUBEB) chairman, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, and specially thanked Mr Governor for the development he is bringing to the state and mostly the way he is handling the issue of workers and pensioners in the state. They also said that they are looking forward to him to fulfilling other promises he made to them as soon as the state is financially buoyant; because he has fulfilled some.
More so, they appreciated Mr Governor for being a promise keeper as they also promised to continue in supporting his adminstration.
The Executive chairman of Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon Israel Ajibola famurewa who spoke through his Personal Assistant, Hon. Anthony Jegede, said the Basic Education is the bedrock of education, and our teachers deserved to be celebrated and Honour always, because they taught us like a teacher, protected us like our parents and guided us like a mentor and deserve this day so much. He also solicitated for their support and told them that Governor oyetola is for them and that this administration is their administration.
Hon. Anthony Jegede also said he love the way they commend Mr Governor and that all their complaints would be forwarded to Mr Governor . And that Mr. Governor has been doing so well by paying full salaries of workers.
In the address of the Hon. Speaker, Rt Hon owoeye, he commended the teachers and said “our Teachers are our pride, you are our mentor, we are here to celebrate you and my prayer is that God we reward you. It’s the grace of God through your hardwork that makes us who we are today. I thank you and I appreciate you all”.
Other notable dignitaries in attendance are: political leaders within the APC, Hon. Azeez Adesiji, Hon. Idowu korede, Hon. Okunola, ,Hon. Mrs grace,Hon. Sanmi Oke, Hon Adesegun olanubi Commissioner for rural development and state treasurer of APC, among others.
