The Osun state of Osun house of assembly addressing press conference at the state of Osun house of assembly this afternoon on the political crisis in Osogbo South LCDA in the state of Osun where the house after listened to the Embattled chairman’s side of the defence on the allegations against him resolved that the status quo antte be maintained until the other side who refused to show up before the state house of assembly today show up on another adjournment date which shall be communicated later to hear their own side of the story before final decision is taken.
The state house of assembly emphasised that they did not take side with any side in the crisis and will not take side but, their main concerned is due process must be followed either to remove the chairman or for him to retain his seat which according to the lawmakers has not been followed in this case.
The deputy speaker of the state of Osun house of assembly Hon Popoola who led the press conference advised the reporters to always maintain balance in their reportage of the event and stop writing reports which are not accurate and not true reflection of what transpired on the floor of the house. He stated further that they have read and heard many reports concerning the stand of the state of Osun house of assembly on this crisis,where some people alleged that the speaker of the house has taken side in the matter whereas that is not true.
