Osun begins road repairs
The Osun State Government has commenced repairs of roads across the state to deepen infrastructural development and boost socio-economic activities.
Some of the roads under repairs include the Akoda-Oke Gada to Ara junction road in Ede and Ogbon Idio Road in Ilesa.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Adeniyi Adesina, said his principal, after his inauguration, instructed local government chairmen to pick the roads that needed urgent rehabilitation and upgrading in their areas.
Some residents of the state said the development would help to expose and stimulate commercial activities in the communities.
A resident of Ede, Mr Yusuf Olayiwola, lauded tβhe government for commencing the rehabilitation of Akoda-Oke Gada-Awo junction road.
Olayiwola noted that the reconstructio support the socio-economic activities in the town and by extension in the entire state as it remained the major road that links the town with its suburbs.
He urged the state government to ensure thorough supervision of the work for a quality delivery.
