Osun Education review, all public schools in Osun belongs to government. Source, state government of Osun.
Let it be known to the general public that the educational review in the state of Osun does not mean a particular school belong or has been returned to any religion body or group of people but, all public schools belong to the state government. This information become necessary because of some disgruntled elements that have started claiming a particular school has been returned to them due to review of education policy in the state.
No religion body in the state owed any of the public school according to the state government and the general public should take note of this important message.
It has been brought to the notice of the state government how some religion body in the state started claiming ownership of a particular school because the said school bears the religion name. Neither Ansarul Deen school or Baptist school in the state of Osun belong to either of the two religion bodies because this has seized to be since 1976 when the government took over all schools in the state and all religion bodies were adequately compensated by the government.
The mere fact that the names were retained since then does not mean the said school still belong to any religion body as you can not eat your cake and have it back.
A case of a government school at Ile Ogbo was reported by me this morning with the headline “Aftermarh of Education review, CAN started building of church at a government school at Ile Ogbo”
After this news was reported I was reliably informed that the government of the state of Osun has taken the necessary steps to bring the situation under control and stopped the construction.
People should not misunderstand the Educational review to mean the government has returned public schools in the state to the missionaries in the state as nothing of such happened.
