The Speaker, Osun State House of Assembly RT. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has described the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi as one of Nigeria’s most revered royal fathers who has been making best efforts to see to the upliftment of the Yoruba, as well as the entire black race since his ascension to the throne.
The Speaker, in a statement released by his Media Aide, Mr Kunle Alabi congratulating the foremost monarch on his 45th birthday, stated that mounting the throne of his forebears, Ooni Adeyeye would not cease to crusade for a better world for the black race and Africa as a continent.
Owoeye held that the monarch who ascended the throne at a time many communities across the country were yearning for younger generations to lead them had not disappointed his generation.
The Speaker further praised the traditional ruler for what he called “his unwavering dedication to the highest ideals” in his reign as the Ooni of Ife.
He said “on the occasion of your 45th birthday, I wish to extend warm felicitations to majesty on behalf of myself and the Osun House of Assembly.
“Yours has been a life truly worthy of celebration, at this relatively tender age of 45, you are always ready to avail all of your wise counsel. You will stop at nothing to ensure that the Yoruba race maintains its rightful position among the black nation.
You have lived a successful and fulfilled life and we as your people are proud and privileged to be your loyal subjects.”
The Speaker therefore prayed that Oba Adeyeye celebrates more of the day in good health, abundance and prosperity, in the land of the living.
