Owoeye Eulogises Oyetola for providing a conducive environment for legislatures to work.

The Speaker, State of Osun House of Assembly Rt Hon Timothy Owoeye has eulogised the state Governor of Osun Mr Gboyega Oyetola for providing a conducive and friendly environment for the state legislatures to carry out her constitutional Assignments.
Speaker made the statement at the end of 3 days Audit Inspection of affected Government Ministry, Department and Agencies (MDA’s) at the hallowed chamber of the House of Assembly Complex Osogbo.
The speaker who was represented by the chairman House Committee on public Accounts,Hon Gbenga Ogunkanmi said the constitution of federal republic of Nigeria as amended empowered the house to carry out the exercise periodically. “Section 125, 128 and 129 of Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended empowered various houses of Assembly to scrutinize how the resources of the state is spent, every kobo must be accounted for in the various ministries, departments and agencies of the state government” Ogunkanmi said.
He said that appropriate sanction has been meted out to some officers of government ministries, departments and agencies found wanting of misappropriation while some others are to come with more proofs within a stipulated time. He noted that mistakes is not free, so someone needs to pay for it.
He advised public office holders to always be careful with public funds in their respective domain, saying, the house of Assembly will look into the every kobo of the state.
