COURT DISQUALIFIED OYETOLA FROM JULY ELECTION
Gboyega Oyetola is knocked off as the Court rules that he is not the authentic Candidate of the APC in the July 15th, 2022 Osun State Governorship election.
A Federal high court sitting in Abuja has held in a case instituted by PDP against Gboyega Oyetola that the nomination and sponsorship of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and his deputy at the July 15th Osun State Gubernatorial election, 2022 was incurably defective as Mai Mala Buni,the Governor of Yobe State and the then APC chairman who oversaw the primary election which produced Governor Oyetola as the APC Governorship candidate in Osun State could not have constitutionally held dual positions.
The Federal high court on this ground, declared the primary election which produced Governor Oyetola as the Governorship candidate of APC in Osun State Governorship election, 2022 as illegal and unconstitutional thus, null and void.
