Oyetola Vows To Restore Electricity To Esa-Oke

…meets with people of the town

Governor State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola has assured the people of Esa-Oke in Obokun Local government area that the unavailability of power supply being experienced in some parts of the community would soon be a thing of the past.

He also promised that the Fire Service Station under construction in the town will soon be completed.

Governor Oyetola gave the assurance on Tuesday during a meeting he held with the people of Esa-Oke at the Owamiran’s palace on Tuesday.

The meeting which was held in Esa-oke between the government and the people of the ancient town was facilitated by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Health, Dr. Olasiji Olamiju.

It was a meeting to brainstorm aimed at finding solutions to the challenges facing the people of the area.

Some of the issues discussed at the meeting include blackout being experienced in some parts of Esa-oke for some months, completion of the ongoing Fire Service Station project and the provision of good roads in the town.

Addressing the people of Esa-Oke during the meeting, the Governor who spoke through the Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Honourable Segun Olanibi, expressed the commitment of his administration to the well-being of the generality of the people of the state.

He assured them that electricity would be restored to those parts that have been in total darkness for several months.

According to him, the meeting was to see to the challenges facing the people as a responsible and responsive government.

“We came from the Ministry of Rural Development and Community Affairs and we are here in Esa-Oke to have the knowledge about the problems confronting the people especially about the power outage in some parts and we all know that Esa-oke is one of the major towns in Obokun Local government.

“It is the resolve of Governor Oyetola to bring rapid transformation to every nooks and crannies of the state, so the state can be an envy of others.

“That is why Mr Governor gave us directive to come to Esa-oke immediately to see to the problems facing the people.

“Our Governor is a lover of people and development and with your cordial relationship with government, all these developmental projects would be completed and delivered”, he added.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Tajudeen Lawal, said their visit as the representatives of the state government to the people of Esa-Oke depicts the commitment of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s administration to good governance and the well-being of the people especially the rural dwellers.

The facilitator of the meeting, Dr. Olasiji Olamiju while speaking expressed displeasure over the total blackout in some parts of the ancient town over some months.

He described Governor Oyetola as a listening leader who always harkens to the requests and needs of the people.

He however assured that all the promises made to the people by him (Governor) would be fulfilled in due course.

The Owamiran of Esa-Oke, Oba Adeyemi Adediran, had earlier in his remarks at the meeting highlighted the challenges facing the people of Esa-oke.

He then expressed optimism that the meeting would bring a good result.
