On 20th of January 2024,the Osun Economic Development team under the leadership of Engineer Dr Kayode Adegbulugbe and vice chairman Asiwaju Olusegun Akintade launched an interest free revolving loan in Osogbo,Osun state capital with funfare. During the program which was witnessed by the Osun state former governor and the immediate past minister of interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the group presented the check of 10million Naira to be shared among different cooperative societies and interest group. However, there was an administrative delay in the process of releasing the loan to the beneficiaries which led to rumour being spread around by some mischievous elements who called the program a scam.
Today 5th of February 2024,the dream eventually comes to reality as the Agboluaje cooperative society under the leadership of Baba Afariogun got their own cash of 1million Naira which was shared in the open place to all the beneficiaries by the leader of the group under the supervision of the representative of Osun Economic Development team.
The representative of the team emphasized that the team is apolitical group which goal is to fight poverty and hunger in Osogbo and Osun state as a whole.
Baba Afariogun in his address thank God Almighty and praised the efforts of the team for deemed it fit to embark on this kind of program to help the poor masses. He also advised the beneficiaries to use the loan judiciously for the purpose it was meant for and make it as a point of duty to repay the non interest loan back so that others too can benefit from it.
Mrs Omolara on behalf of other beneficiaries of the loan thanked the team for the gesture and promised to use the loan for the purpose it was meant for and pay back as and when due.
