*Southwest APC Congratulates Buhari, urges Atiku to accept defeat.*
The South West APC Congratulates President Mohammadu Buhari and his Vice, Yemi Osinbajo for their Victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, today 11th of September, 2019. The National Vice-Chairman, South West, Barrister Bankole Oluwajana and the entire South West Working Committee congratulate the APC National Working Committee led by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for representing the party well at the tribunal.
In a release signed by the Zonal publicity Secretary of APC, Rt. Hon. Karounwi Oladapo, the Party said the judgment truly reflects the outcome of the presidential election as declared by INEC and it indeed captures the mood of the nation.
Had it been that Nigerians took the petition serious, there would have been palpable tension in the major towns and cities before the judgment, that would have warranted heavy presence of security operatives to maintain law, peace and order across the country. But nothing of such happened.
The South West APC leadership commends the Judiciary for delivering a bold, brilliant and unbias judgment, without fear or favour and urges Atiku to accept defeat in good faith. The South West APC leaders also thank Nigerians for their support and urge them to keep faith with APC and President Buhari. “We can attest to the fact that President Buhari will not disappoint them.” the statement said.
