The Muslim Ummah in Osun Central Senatorial District and the State at large has been advised to hold unto Covid-19 safety precautions as they celebrate Eidul fitri.
In a message, Senator Ajibola Basiru while congratulating muslims on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadhan reminded people about the new variant of Covid-19 which is spreading in some parts of Europe and a few countries in Africa.
Senator Basiru warned that the new strain of the killer virus has symptoms similar to that of the original Covid-19. He therefore encouraged Muslims and non Muslims to use their nose masks,maintain social distance and wash their hands regularly as they storm prayer grounds.
Urging people to celebrate in moderation and stay clear of acts that could rubbish their spiritual cleansing,Senator Ajibola Basiru charged the people of his Constituency to continue praying for peace in Nigeria and as well remain resolute in their support for the Government of the All Progressives Congress in the Country and the State of Osun.
