The osun state college of health technology, Ilesa was created in September 1977 with two cadres of officers viz: Public Health Superintendents now called Environmental Health Technologists and Community Health Assistants who are now known as Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW). This citadel of learning has been operating as an arm of the ministry of health since it creation which has debar them from having a budget of their own and has been drawing back clock development of that great institution.
This bill when passed will liberate the aged institution that has contributed immensely not only to the development of osun health sector but Nigeria in general and make the institution independent.
It’sexpected to go through second reading as soon as possible.
