Biography of Ajibola Isreal Famurewa
Ajibola Isreal Famurewa is the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) candidate for Osun East senatorial. He was born in 1965. He is an indigene of Osun State. He is presently a member of the Federal House of Representative representing Atakunmosa East/ Atakunmosa West/Ilesha East/ Federal Constituency.
He attended Hope Grammar School, Ilesha where he obtained his West Africa School Certificate. He proceeded further to Ibadan Polytechnic in 1986 where he obtained his Ordinary National Diploma in Metallurgy, He went further to Yaba College of Technology where he obtained his Higher National Diploma in 1990 in Mechanical Engineering. He thereafter had a Post Graduate Degree from the Federal University of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. He also attended Tulane University U.S.A where he got a Certificate in Legislative Grafting in 2014.
Prior to becoming a member of the House of Representative he was with Chad Basin Development Authority from 1990-1991 as Operation Engineer, he was also with Continental Vent Nigeria Limited from 1991-2000 and later became Chief Executive of ISBOL Energy Services Limited.
He is a ranking member of the Nigeria National Assembly (NASS). He contested for a seat in the Lower Chamber of the Nigeria National Assembly (NASS), the Federal House of Assembly in the 2011 elections and won.
In the 2015 elections, he again re-contested for the Federal House of Representatives under the Platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Won to represent Atakunmosa East/ Atakunmosa West/Ilesha East/ Federal Constituency.
He will be contesting at the February 16, 2019 election to represent Osun East at the Upper Chamber of the Nigeria National Assembly (NASS), the Senate. The acronym of his campaign organisation for this election is “Ko Sun Soke”” a Yoruba expression meaning ” Moving from the Lower to the Upper ”
