Few days ago,on my social media handles,i announced my decision to leave All Progressive Congress (APC) after years of struggling within the Osun APC.
This decision though,came from the depth of my heart after a lot of considerations but,does not go down well with some of my leaders in the party.
Belonging to a particular group or political party is a voluntary decision which everyone is entitled to,so it is still within my constitutional rightΒ to take such a decision most especially when i considered many options before me and realized leaving the party APC is the best option for now having ruminated on the following happenings within the party since 2019 till date.

This is the number one reason i left the party APC because the last time i personally enjoyed this privileged was during Rauf Aregbesola.
Adegboyega Oyetola came in 2018 and introduced politics of segregation whereby no matter how committed you are as a member of Osun APC,once you don’t belong to their caucus named “Ilerioluwa” you are not recognized and will not enjoy the benefits of being a member of the party.
This is what i personally battle with for whole four years of Oyetola’s administration in Osun.
I know not only me suffered this treatment but,i wouldn’t want to generalize it and this is why i used the adjective (I) and not (We)
Due to my experiences in political participations which is more than three decades,i knew the Osun APC can never survive the dichotomy created in the party by Oyetola and his gang, so i started earlier than any other concerned members of APC in Osun the callings for unification and peace within the ranks and files, but unfortunately those that were supposed to reason along with my position then tagged me “inconsistency politician”
All my calling for cohesion fell to their deaf earsπ
I actually saw the danger coming and i did my best to avert it,but unfortunately those evils had upper hands and the rest is now history.
I am a progressive from birth till date and i don’t pray to become anti progressive till I leave the surface of this earth but,this does not means i must force myself on people who don’t share the same ideologies with me in the name of wanting to remain in the fold of progressive.
If Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola decides to remain in APC despite all the humiliation and intimidations some of us his loyalists suffered and still suffering under the party in the name of being his loyalists,i, personally will not be a party to that decision until the needful is done within the Osun APC.

In politics,leaders always emerge naturally and once this happened,the best thing to do is to follow the leader who is naturally endowed to lead the party to success.
Yorubas would say “Γka tΓ Γ³bΓ‘tΓ³sΓ’mΓΊn, ni afΓΓro’mΓΊn
Until those rebelling against Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola within APC have a rethink and surrender to reality,the APC may eventually and finally becomes history in the state.
Forget about sentiment and let’s face the reality,it is only Rauf Aregbesola that can reposition Osun APC and return the party back to power and not the like of Adegboyega Oyetola who doesn’t have the capacity, capability and political will to mobilize people for election.
Rauf had done it in the past, and I believe he can still do it again because of his track records.
It is not about being a relative of Mr President,Oyetola lacks what it requires to lead party to victory and this has been established during 2022/2023 elections in Osun.
Those who still believe Oyetola will lead Osun APC to electoral victory after failures of 2022/2023 even when he has all it take to mobilize for party to win are jokers of the century.Oyetola can be part of the leaders of the party as former governor just like Chief Adebisi Akande,but definitely not as the overall leader that will lead the party to victory.This is the bitter truth a lot of our people are running away from.
If Osun APC actually mean business and want to return to governor’s office,Abere,they should allow Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to lead the party but if they still want to remain in opposition,let the leadership of the party be handed over to Oyetola.
Administratively,Oyetola is good and brilliant,but politically,he is not.
Oyetola doesn’t have what it take to be a political leader.
πmi AbΓ tΓ .He can only be clinching on leaders who have the charisma and capacity to lead party to victory and not as a leader who can lead the party to victory.

All the above stated reasons are what i put in to considerations before i took the decision to leave the party in Osun.
I can remain in the party as long as the party is allowed to breath by those political opportunists whose only aims and objectives are for selfish interest and not collective interest that will benefit all.
Finally, my decision to leave the party, though not yet documented through a letter to my ward chairman,but hasn’t change. I would have followed it up with a letter of resignation which was my plan before,but i still holding on to that because of the intervention of some leaders within my caucus.
I knew before i took this decision that a lot of meanings would be read to it but,i just have to do it having realized that all efforts of my leader to reposition the party are been frustrated by the disgruntled elements within the party and i don’t want to labour in vain hence,my decision to step aside and be watching from far distance.
I have not joined any other political party order than belonging to ππ’π€π‘πͺπππ caucus in Osun.
